Houston's hacker groups meet most weeks of the month: HAHA on first Thursdays, Houston 2600 on first Fridays, DC713 on second Thursdays and Houston Locksport on third Wednesdays, with DEF CON groups in Pearland, north Houston and Galveston. ISSA South Texas holds monthly lunch meetings, and CSA, ISACA, ISC2, WiCyS and InfraGard chapters meet less often. CYBR.SEC.CON (formerly HOU.SEC.CON) fills the George R. Brown Convention Center each September, and its sister OT.SEC.CON covers industrial security in April.
