Henderson, NV cybersecurity events & groups
Henderson's security community meets across the Las Vegas Valley, 15 to 30 minutes away. BurbSec Las Vegas holds a free social on the second Thursday of each month, DC702 and the local TOOOL chapter meet on Wednesday evenings, and ISSA, ISACA, ISC2, OWASP and the new Cloud Security Alliance chapter each meet every month or two. Inside Henderson itself, the Nevada Digital Government Summit comes to Lake Las Vegas on December 10, 2026, and DEF CON 35 is set for August 5 to 8, 2027.
Start here
- BurbSec Las Vegas (Las Vegas Cybersecurity Meetup): Free, vendor-neutral monthly social on second Thursdays; everyone from students to CISOs is welcome.
- DC702 / C2Society (with TOOOL Las Vegas): The local DEF CON Group, with lockpicking, talks and CTFs on Wednesday nights at a bar or the SYN Shop hackerspace.
- OWASP Las Vegas: Free application security talks, often hybrid, so you can join online first.

- ISSA, ISACA and ISC2 lunch meetings charge a registration fee through Eventbrite or Cvent.
- DC702 posts meeting locations on its Google calendar and Discord; venues alternate between Distill in Summerlin and SYN Shop.
- Black Hat, DEF CON and BSides Las Vegas all fall in the same week in early August, and hotel prices rise sharply that week.
- InfraGard Nevada and IAPP KnowledgeNet Las Vegas had no meetings scheduled as of September 27, 2026.
- InfraGard Nevada is listed as dormant but is likely to return: a May 3, 2026 update on its website says the chapter's leadership is being rebuilt and a chapter meeting is being scheduled.
